Expensive but excellent

The Sony is my first HD tuner. I was hesitant to spend the cash, but the money was well worth it. I live in an apartment building in Pasadena, CA use the Zenith ZHDTV1 HDTV $24 dollar indoor antenna, which sits by the TV nowhere near a window. As of now, I have not yet used the DirectTV capabilities because my apartment manager will not let me [one guy gets a dish..they all want one]. The over-the-air reception and clarity is amazing, and blows the doors off charter digital cable. With an indoor antenna, the signal strength is on average at least 80%. The tuner quickly found all the DTV stations and HD stations in Los Angeles without any difficult programming. I didn’t expect it to work that well. Features are great - digital television, over the air - all the channels are controlled on the one box. The tuner is more advanced than my TV. My TV doesn’t have 740p [ABC's choice of broadcast] as a native resolution, but the tuner upconverts it to 1080i. From the reviews I have read on other tuners, the extra cash for the SAT HD200 is absolutely worth it.
