I've not always had good reception, it seems to vary a little bit with weather. Some times I've had problems with FOX on clear days. I also do not get good reception with out the supplied amp. I have the amp half way on my cable string where my coax comes into the house. A couple of things I have played with that have helped is one, actualy moving my coax around in the attic (seems to act as another antenna), The other thing I have done is play with the length of the copper cable that protrudes out the end of the coax cables on my conections, a little longer seems better. Those may not have nothing to do with anything technically but it seems to work. My analog antenna produces excellent analog signals on all previous and present non-HDTV's but it will not cut the mustard on my Mitsubishi Diamond 65711 on either tuner. Went to local channels on DirecTV to pick up regular over the air signals full screen, or with no no bars to burn in. Non-HD broadcast sat. pictures on most old movies has to be seen to be appreciated. Rose Parade on 32.01 (WB) today was magnificant over the air. I checked the parade out through all of the different receivers I have (5) and the HD picture is beyond awsome. Only reason to mess with the others is programing. I dont think the VU75 is large enough but its non-returnable so Im going to tweek it a bit and see if I can get FOX to come in.
